Mirah Delima is not a large store. It is a working bench that has run for decades in much the same way: an order comes in, gets drawn, gets forged, gets handed over.

Beginnings
Mirah Delima opened in 1994 in Pasar Sanglah, Denpasar, and is still in the same place today, on the second floor of Jl. Waturenggong. Across all that time the work itself has changed very little: silver jewellery, made per order.
What changed is how people find us. It used to be word of mouth and passers-by in the market. Now it is more often WhatsApp, sometimes from someone who has never set foot in Bali. The process is the same, the conversation simply moved.
The Maker

Abu Bakar Said Bahasuan takes the order, draws the design, forges it, and does the final polish. Nothing is handed to a third party, and nothing is pulled from a factory tray and relabelled as handmade.
It means that if you want to ask something or change something partway, you are talking to the same person from start to finish. It also means we have a ceiling. When the queue is long we say so, rather than accepting the order and stalling.
How We Work
Silver weight and labour are calculated once the design is clear, and you know the total before paying anything.
Everything is sterling silver 925. Ask for the weight in grams and we will give you the number.
If your date is too tight or your design is hard to execute in silver, you hear it at the start, not after money has changed hands.
Limits
We do not claim to be the cheapest, and we will not compete with mass-produced jewellery on price. Something shaped one piece at a time carries labour, and that is part of what it costs.
We also do not present silver jewellery as a store of value. Its resale value sits well below what you pay, and it is better you know that before ordering rather than years later.
Finally, silver tarnishes over time. That is the nature of the material. It polishes back, but if you want jewellery that needs no care at all, consider another metal from the outset and tell us at the first conversation.
Next
You do not have to be ready to order. Ask whatever you want to know.
