Your Guide
Learn from a silversmith with decades at the bench.
You are guided by Abu Bakar Said Bahasuan, the person who has been making our customers’ pieces since 1994. He is not an instructor trained to run classes, which means what you learn is the way the work is actually done, not a simplified demo version.
Sessions are private. There is no group to keep pace with, so you can ask as much as you want or redo a step until it feels right.
Format
Solo or couple, your choice.
Coming alone means the whole session goes into one piece. That suits people making something for themselves, or a gift they would rather keep secret.
Coming as a pair means each of you shapes your own ring. This is the option engaged couples usually pick, because the ring each person ends up wearing was made by the other one’s hands.
If you would rather we make the rings for you, that is a different path and it lives on our custom wedding and engagement ring page.

What we provide.
Tools
Hammer, pliers, files, soldering setup and polishing kit. Bring nothing but yourself.
Silver
Sterling silver 925, the same grade we use for customer orders.
Guidance
Hands-on support from start to finish, including every step that involves flame.
The weight of silver used affects the cost, so we confirm the exact figure when you book and we know what you plan to make.
For Couples
A good fit if you are getting married.
Wedding and engagement rings are what we make most, and that carries into the workshop. Plenty of couples visiting Bali book a session to make each other’s rings rather than buy them finished.

We talk through what you want to make and how much of it you want to do yourself. No drawing skills needed.

You hold the tools, from shaping to finishing. We stay beside you throughout, especially for the steps involving flame.
Take It Home
Once it is polished, the piece goes home with you the same day.
FAQ
Before you book.
How long does the workshop take?
It depends on what you make. A plain band is quicker than a ring with engraving. We give you an estimated duration when you book, so you can fit it around the rest of your day in Bali.
Do I need experience?
No. Most people who join have never handled silversmithing tools before. We start from the basics and stay with you for anything involving flame or sharp tools.
Can I bring my partner?
Yes. Couples often book together so each person shapes their own ring. There is no separate couples class, just let us know when booking that two of you are coming.
Where exactly are you located?
Jl. Waturenggong, Pasar Sanglah Level 2, Denpasar. This is our actual shop and workbench, running since 1994, not a separate classroom, so you work at the same bench where customer orders are made.
