Custom OrderHow it works, from first message to ring in hand.

Four steps, and you know the price and the estimated completion date before paying anything. This page sets out what happens at each stage and what to have ready.

The Steps

Four stages, one at a time.

01

First conversation

Have ready

What you have in mind, roughly what you want to spend, and any date you are working towards.

You describe, we ask back. The questions we usually put to you: which hand will wear it, how much that hand is used for work, and whether it will be stacked with another ring later. Those three answers already point the design in a direction.

Having no idea at all is fine. Send photos of pieces you like, from anywhere.

02

Design and quote

Have ready

Time to read it properly and decide without rushing.

We propose a design and price it from two components: the weight of silver and the hours of work. We state them separately so you can see what you are paying for. The estimated completion date comes at this stage too.

This is the last cheap moment to change your mind. Once silver is forged, a major change means starting again.

03

Making

Have ready

The final size. If it has not been measured, this is the deadline.

The silver is forged, engraved if your design calls for it, then polished. This is the longest stage and its length depends heavily on how intricate the design is. We keep you updated so you are never guessing.

If something in the design turns out to be a technical problem, we contact you before deciding anything on your behalf.

04

Handover

Have ready

The finger that will wear it, if you are coming in person.

We check the piece together, including the fit. Small adjustments are made on the spot where the design allows. We explain how to care for silver so the colour holds.

If you have left Bali, we send photos of the finished piece first, then ship by arrangement.

Common Hesitations

What usually holds people up.

Not knowing the ring size. The most common blocker, and it takes five minutes. We can measure it at the shop, or walk you through doing it at home over WhatsApp.

Having no design. Most people who commission from us arrive without one. Reference photos are more than enough to start.

Not knowing what is a reasonable budget. Custom silver wedding bands generally land between IDR 650,000 and IDR 3,500,000 a pair, depending on weight and how intricate the work is. That is a market range rather than a fixed price, and we calculate the real figure once the design is settled.

Being outside Bali. The whole process can run over WhatsApp, from the first conversation through to design approval. More on the material itself is on our Balinese silver page.
